Weekly Wine(d) Up!

Take a glimpse below at one of my wine and food pairings from this weekend for inspiration with your next meal!

Last week was filled with so much good food and wine! We got to try a sparkling Sauvy B from South Africa for the first time, a delicious rosé, and then traditional Sauvy B from NZ! So safe to say a Sauvy B filled week (lol). I got to have sushi, fresh finds from the farmer’s market, some delicious apps, a wrap and chili from my fav little diner, and so much more!

First, the food…

This week’s pairing is simple and delicious! While trying to decide what we would do for dinner, my boyfriend’s fam thought grilled cheese would be a great idea Friday night for a night filled with watching sports! We got to make our own with really anything you could imagine! I went with cheddar, provolone, and American cheese with ham and tomato (obviously you have to season the tomato in your grilled cheese with salt and pep). This was such a comforting meal and so simple to end the long work week. Also, this was grilled with mayo on the outside which makes it oooooh so crispy!

Now on to the more important topic…

The wine paired with this lovely Sammie was a Côtes de Provence rosé. This wine ran about $20 and I would easily buy it again. It’s not only light and perfect for a warmer day, it’s made with organic grapes! You get strawberries, raspberries, and citrus notes. It’s the perfect dry wine to ease into summer!

This was such a good weekend overall! We also went to a vineyard on Saturday with some delicious charcuterie options and a ramp butter from the local farmer’s market and then Sunday went outside for a long walk after going out to breakfast since it was so nice out! I love weekends like this that are both fun and relaxing. Looking forward to our upcoming plans for MDW though so stay tuned!

That’s all for now so…

Until next time wine lovers, cheers!

Jordana
